Who does the curation?
I’m Rony El-Nashar. I’m the Founder and Managing Partner of SeedStartup, an international seed-stage venture capital fund & startup accelerator with a global approach and an emphasis on diversity. Through funding and world-class mentorship SeedStartup helps amazing entrepreneurs build and scale high impact tech startups. Founders that have participated in the program so far hail from as far as Bahrain, Algeria, Italy, Tanzania, Nepal, Malaysia, Maldives, the US and the UK. SeedStartup has been covered in Techcrunch, CNBC Business, The National, Wamda, The Next Web and the The New York Times.
Prior to launching SeedStartup, I was heading the direct investments function at Khalifa Fund where I was a member of all funding committees and provided funding of around USD $117m for over 300 early-stage startups across a variety of industries.
Before Khalifa Fund, I had launched a U.S. based internet startup which was acquired after 5 years of growth. Prior to that, I was with Citrix Systems and later Shomiti Systems, a VC funded tech startup based in Silicon Valley. During my tenure with Shomiti, the company was acquired by NASDAQ listed Finisar Corporation.
I hold an MBA from London Business School in addition to a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
My goal with Cofounder TV is to build a resource that educates and inspires entrepreneurs globally. If you need personalized advice with your business or with a specific situation you’re facing, I’m happy to help. Use the “request a call” button to schedule a one-on-one chat.
